You tan will last anywhere from 5-7 days depending on your activity level. Keep in mind that excessive sweating and frequent showers will cause the tan to fade quicker. Keeping your skin moisturized will help extend the life of your tan.
We recommend shaving 24 hrs before your appointment. You will need to wait at least 24 hrs after your appointment before shaving again. When you do shave, make sure to use a new razor.
The results vary from client to client as everyone’s skin is different. In most cases, they do become less noticeable however there is always the possibility that they stand out more. We will try and set realistic expectations during your consultation.
We generally recommend 2-3 days before the event (2 days for brides). You need to have a minimum of two showers before your event to ensure the instant bronzer has washed off and your tan looks natural.
The answer is NO, you must wear sun protection.
Other Common Questions
Saltwater is a natural exfoliant but will not strip your tan. It does however dry your skin and will make your skin cells exfoliate faster. We recommend wearing a waterproof sunblock which will help protect your skin.
The best thing to help your tan last longer when going into pools or hot tubs is wearing a waterproof sunblock. This will help protect your skin from the chemicals. Without it, you could see faster and uneven fading.
At OrganikTan, we tan many soon to be moms. However, we do recommend consulting with your doctor first to determine if it is safe for your particular situation.
Spray tans should always be one of the last services you get before an event. Manis/pedis waxing lash extensions should all be done 24 hours prior to spray tanning. If you have to do your mani/pedi the same day as your tan make sure that no lotions are applied.
It will not completely cover them but it can make them less noticeable. For a big event like your wedding, I would avoid getting any tan lines for at least a month before the event.
